OUR MISSION

Feed. Educate.
Medically Assist.

We're a non-profit organization on a mission to feed, educate, and medically assist the deserving of India.

  • Feed

Malnutrition affects millions in India, making education, work, and survival difficult. Each meal we serve includes rice, lentils, and vegetables — cooked hygienically, delivered on time.

  • Educate

India has 400 million children — yet 35 million cannot access education. We support over 100 schools with 32,000 students enrolled, and sponsor children through BrightPoint for Children.

  • Medically Assist

Rural families in India have no affordable access to basic medical care. We provide doctor visits, mobile clinics, surgeries (cleft palate, clubfoot, thalassemia), and disaster relief.

OUR STORY

A legacy of compassion in action.

The story of Calcutta Mercy began in 1984 when Mark and Nancy Brails felt a clear calling from God to begin an evangelistic mission in India. Over 40 years, Calcutta Mercy has remained a leading non-profit in India — transforming lives, expanding programmes, and continuing the compassionate work of the Gospel.
